"My theory is make money while you're having fun!" says the Texas girl who started a mother's helper service in her neighborhood two years ago. But how can work be fun for a kid? The key, as Sarah's comment suggests, is helping your child select a business that appeals to his or her own particular passions.

With that in mind, we've compiled 23 creative ideas grouped by interest--from businesses for kids who love crafts to cash cows for animal lovers. You and your child need only turn to the category that excites him most, then pick a business within that category.
